Description

Here is my entry for OC Training round sixth task 6th. I paired up with Drayah for this round. Here, Winona and Isa are in Winona's native land on a hunting trip. I accidentally posed Winona in a right handed archery pose though, since she lost her sight in her right eye, she shoots with her left hand so I decided to make this picture take place when Winona's is younger and hasn't lost her sight in her right eye.

Here is the awesome picture Drayah did for me

Kind of based on this picture picture
Islanamara and Olive belong to Drayah

There's so much going on here.

First and foremost, I love Winona's pose.  It's superb.  And it's believable.  Having dawn and attempted to draw a few archers in my time here on DA, I know how hard it is to get a pose that both looks good and is realistic.
No, Anime girl's, you can't shoot accurately whilst balanced on the toes of one foot and leaning the opposite direction at forty-five degrees or more.  Haven't you heard of cause and effect, or gravity, or physics for that matter... ah no, and neither has your... chest :P

You can tell it's Winona's part of the forest by the way she's so easily caught Islanamara (still love that name :P) wrong-footed.
I also like the apparent culture comparison in their choice of companions.  Whereas Islanamara has brought a trained and tamed hunting dog, Winona hunts with a wild wolf at her side.  It's a great way to show the clash of traditional and comparatively modern cultures.

And the amount of detail in the background is amazing.  So many trees and fallen twigs, bushes, rocks and the stream and all the water effect too.  This must have taken you absolutely ages.  Those details really bring this to life, and each time you look at this you spot something new.  Amazing.
